Accessible Customer Service and Accessibility Plan
The Township is required to adopt an
Accessible Customer Service Policy under the Accessibility for Ontarians
with Disabilities Act, 2005, and Regulation 429/07 Accessibility Standards for
Customer Service. More information about the Accessible Customer Service
Regulations can be found at
Ministry of
Community and Social Services.
The Accessible Customer Service Policy is available from the following link in

Township.
Accessible Customer Service Policy and Training Manual
Feedback may be provided by a person with a disability in the manner deemed most
convenient to them, such as in person, by telephone, in writing, or by
delivering an electronic text by email or on diskette or otherwise.

All feedback will be kept in strict confidence and used to improve customer
service. In addition, the author of the feedback will be provided a response in
the format in which the feedback was received outlining actions deemed
appropriate, if any.
The Township is also required to maintain an Accessibility Plan under the Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2001. For

The Township's Plan
is posted on this site and is available at the Hickson Municipal Office. The Township encourages comments and suggestions on the plan. The plan document contains
a form that can be completed and submitted to the Township. If there are
complaints about accessibility at Township facilities or with Township programs,
instructions on how to lodge a complaint are contained in the
FAQ section. The plan is
